Ryan Bevens joins as QA Community Manager

Blog

These last few months we’ve been trying to figure out how to properly serve a group of people that don’t always get the credit they deserve, discussions that led us to the idea of bringing in a QA Community Manager for the first time. That’s where Ryan Bevens comes in.

Ryan joins the Potentia whānau with an extensive QA background spanning 15 years, working with several Fortune 100 companies in the US, and most recently with Kiwi businesses Xero and Pushpay. Not only does he bring a skill set that is unique to the recruitment industry, but he has a genuine love for QA and promoting its value.

Having mentored a number of QAs over the years, from interns all the way to seniors and other leads, Ryan is passionate about helping people figure out the direction of their careers. This is something that can only benefit our QA community in the long-term, with Ryan working alongside you to achieve your goals.

Just like development, QA is not a one-size-fits-all type of career and sometimes needs a little more nuance when finding those roles and the people who can execute them the best. Drawing on his time in management and the people leadership space, Ryan understands our clients’ hiring needs and challenges from their side of the fence too.

We are excited to have him on board and look forward to seeing the QA community and its benefactors flourish as a result of Ryan’s good work!
