Business Systems Analyst

Help take the Briscoe Group through to the next phase of their digital transformation.

Why you would like it:

  • Wide variety of stakeholders and challenges

  • End to end responsibility for projects

  • The opportunities to make a positive difference

Company profile:

The Briscoe Group have been embarking on some incredibly exciting strategic initiatives  that have enabled them to continue to be a leader in the NZ retail landscape. With over 85 stores throughout New Zealand within two retail sectors, homeware and sporting goods, they employ just over 2000 staff throughout the country. To maintain its leadership in the NZ retail landscape, Briscoe Group wants to increase its rate of completing technology projects and reduce its large backlog of valuable projects.

The opportunity:

With a bunch of projects already on the go, and a whole heap more in the pipeline, the need has arisen for a proven Business Systems Analyst to join the existing systems team and take ownership of some of this ever expanding workload. From a major database migration to in-store mobilisation and connectivity, the variety of projects will certainly keep you fully engaged and on your toes. Acting as a key systems representative in the business, you will regularly engage with a multitude of stakeholders (from C-level to shop floor) working closely with the Systems Accountant to represent the ERP system needs across the Group as well as managing the various vendors that support the overall environment. Regular BAU will of course be part of the everyday and working very closely with the IT team will be a critical part to the success of the role.

The fit (of the ideal candidate):

  • Extensive proven experience in ERP business systems analysis/functional consultant type roles, ideally across SAP (but not essential)

  • Experience in managing complex enterprise systems/environments and not afraid to get your hands dirty around testing, analysis and process mapping

  • Planning, analysis, design, testing and release management skills for new features, applications, and platforms.

  • Strong delivery and project experience, ideally with a strong bent towards functional testing as this will be a large part of the day to day.

  • Experience within the retail sector would be highly desirable, along with working knowledge of the supply chain, merchandise and finance modules within the SAP (or similar) environment

  • Proactive communication skills to elicit needs and keep people informed on progress

  • A genuine willingness to learn new tools and technologies as well as a desire to automate is also highly desired.

What's in it for you:

  • An attractive salary package with benefits

  • A strong culture that recognises contributions and rewards performance,

  • Professional and personal development

  • Working with a close knit team that is genuinely passionate about enterprise technology transformation

This is an opportunity for a professional to take on more responsibility and help an iconic NZ business keep moving forward. If this sounds like you and you would like to know more, please contact Guy Day at guy@potentia.co.nz or apply now!
