The Role:

  As part of this enterprise Cloud Operations team, you will be working alongside 6-7 other colleagues focused around the health, availability and advancement of the entire organization's networks, platforms, apps, tooling and DevOps processes. 

  Your role as the Cloud Architect will be to help provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to IT and the Business on fit for purpose cloud solutions - IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Strong research skills and a future view will be part of your DNA.


Your Skills:

  • You will have 5+ years of experience working within Architecture functions (ideally focused around Cloud Architecture)

  • Experienced with the Azure architecture and services

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON etc

  •  Security certification at CISSP level or equivalent (not a must)

  • Strong understanding of public cloud architecture and services, preferably Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting technologies such as Powershell, Ansible.

  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture and containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Azure Container Instances.

  • Excellent understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, load balancers, and storage.

  • Experience of LAN/WAN network technologies.
