Background to role
The organisation is on a major digital transformation journey to be insight driven in their function as a government entity. The environment is still very green fields and there is a need for a broad skill-set.
Your role
You will primarily be responsible for developing the cyber security strategy and vision for the organisation and providing proactive advice to key senior stakeholders within the organisation. You will also work identify and manage cyber security threats and develop the C&A process for new projects.
Key skills you will bring
- Broad and varied experience within the IT Security space, ideally at an enterprise level.
- Strong understanding of security within a NZ Government department or something equivalent
- Experience leading teams and laying out a broader security vision within an organisation
- Well-rounded knowledge of the wider IT ecosystem
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and upskill team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
