Purpose of role
The organisation are looking to scale up their operations and have an existing sales team here in Wellington already. They are wanting to expand their development capability here and have someone from a strong open source background with full stack or strong front end skills to come in and help develop new features for their platform and take the organisation to new heights.
Your role
You will be an accomplished full stack developer with proven open source experience and a high level of competence with modern development frameworks. You will be a team lead for the new Wellington development arm and work alongside a Hawkes Bay based dev team adding new features to the platform, managing stand-ups, sprint planning and estimating development work.
Key requirements
- Strong experience within modern frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue
- Passion for open source development
- Sound level of experience with AWS and ideally serveless architecture
- Proven ability with API's and microservices to power the front end
- A strong team player with great verbal communication skills and ability to mentor other developers
- Ability to plan sprints and estimate development work
