The opportunity:

This team focuses on the harnessing lasers to optimise fibreoptics and cloud servers powering the internet.  Think of all of the millions of transceivers that exist in telco networks and data centers globally.  This is the market with clients that include Intel, Facebook, Google and Cisco and NASA using their products.  The role of Firmware Engineer is to design, develop and verify firmware for embedded systems for new products and support the existing firmware programs. This position will drive the firmware development from the initial definition and ideation of a project to the validation and release of a product.

The fit:

  • Plan, design and validate firmware.
  • Support and maintain existing firmware releases. 
  • Create specifications, high level designs, and documentation for the firmware of new projects. 
  • Provide input for digital circuit design. 
  • Experience in Firmware Development 
  • Proficient in C and C++ Programming Languages
  • Ability to layout a high-level design and define a project with respects to the firmware design.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.)
