About the Company:

InZone is a New Zealand registered charitable trust established in 2011. Our mission is to actively support Māori and Pasifika rangatahi to excel through access to highly effective schools whilst living in a supportive whānau environment with a Māori kaupapa underpinned by Christian values.
We achieve this by providing boarding kāinga (hostels) ‘InZone’ for Auckland Grammar School and Epsom Girls Grammar School and we partner with the schools to enable our students to achieve top educational outcomes. 
Our kāinga enable our rangatahi to live and learn in a supportive whānau environment where we aim to support, inspire and empower our rangatahi to achieve their full potential. Through their time at InZone, rangatahi are exposed to a multitude of growth opportunities: leadership; personal; academic; cultural; community and post-school transition.

The Opportunity:

This role is primarily accountable for achieving the annual fundraising budget though strategic planning and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This includes grants and philanthropic donors as well as fundraising initiatives, securing new corporate partnerships, and establishing and maintaining donor relations. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of all external communications including website, stakeholder pānui, Annual Reports, and content for digital channels, optimising opportunities for InZone rangatahi to share their stories and InZone journey publicly. Event management will also be part of this role and you will organise the funders dinners, end-of-year prizegiving, cultural events and other strategic events for InZonee to establish and cultivate a thriving network of active alumni.

  • Marketing, Communications and Events
  • Project Management and Administration

  The Fit:
  • Genuine empathy, passion and desire to build positive relationships and support Māori and Pasifika rangatahi to help them achieve optimal outcomes in their health, wellbeing, academic and sporting endeavours
  • A qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Administration, will be an advantageous
  • You will have experience in fundraising, marketing and/or communications as well as handling administrative and operational responsibilities, preferably at a non-profit organisation level, particularly providing support for an Executive Director, Department Head, Board of Directors, or Committee
  • Sound knowledge of digital platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Mailchimp, WordPress and managing the social media and communication with a variety of audiences
  • Experience in Graphic Design or Photography/Videography skills are preferred but not required
  • Competency in Te Reo Māori and/or a Pacific language, written and verbal, would be desirable
