The role of the Software Engineering Leaders is a powerful one for this product development business. The opportunity for an effective, contemporary software engineering leader to bring new life to a business that has already brought to market a product portfolio currently worth $50M in revenue. Strong technical thinking is required to bolster the technical roadmap on the tech selections and development of multiple components. This will not cover the firmware. The tech advancements are rapidly growing data requirements and an increasing community of customers that are hungry for these systems to generate greater value for their crops and businesses. This role will be able to understand the technology whilst building on an already effective team, catering to the changing demands for the data platform and integration product suite. The role breaks down into four core components:
- Software roadmap: vision and leadership: commercial to technical, build and run
- People leadership: growth and management of your new team
- Delivery leadership: predictable milestones and process fit-for-purpose acumen
- Engineering leadership: Go to woah, internal teams/stakeholders and partners, vendors (Cloud) and the thorny technical problems of doing world-first work
