The organisation

Wellington CBD based key government agency that is going on a journey to help make utilising their systems easier and more user friendly.

Background to role

They are looking to complete an initial Proof of Concept for a Microservices front-end solution that would help provide a consistent and a simplified front end to end users for several legacy systems. The system will be hosted in AWS and will likely utilise a React front end with Kotlin/Java for the back end, but arey are open to being led by the right person on technology choices.

Your role

You will be working alongside an Architect and Senior Developer to build an initial proof of concept for a front end solution to help integrate with several legacy systems.

Key skills you will bring

· A strong background with open source technology and specifically Javascript frameworks such as React/Node/Vue
· Proven ability leading projects and other developers
· Sound understanding of the AWS ecosystem and cloud technology
· Experience working in an agile development
· Ability to provide technical leadership to junior team members from time to time
· GIS experience a bonus
