This team provides support and advice on a range of matters for a portfolio of Crown Entities, along with supporting the appointment process for a range of statutory boards and committess. As the Manager you will provide strategic, technical and people leadership to this function. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior officials. You will approach this in an open, transparent and collaborative way.
Leading and managing a small team, ensuring their capabilities and expertise are being developed
Ensuring that the team and wider business effectively meets its Crown entity monitoring responsibilities and leading the delivery of the statutory appointment process
Lead work programme planning, ensuring that you are across any risks and opportunities, and managing these appropriately
To be considered for this role you will ideally have some specialist knowledge in either the monitoring or appointments process, or both. As building and maintaining strong relationships is a critical part of this role, it is essential that you bring sophisticated people skills. Ideally you will have some prior management experience, either formal or informal, and enjoy working with your staff to develop and challenge them.
