Started over 20 years ago, they now have offices in the UK, Canada, Australia and the US and the Auckland head office has over 350 employees. Having been acquired by a multi-national household brand name they now have their sights set on global reach and as such are growing their team.
The Role
One of the key teams within the organisation is the Security Practice team. Split across Auckland and London, their job is to work collaboratively with other teams across the organisation and ensure that the highest level of security standards are adhered to and maintained. This will involve managing security requirements, triaging and confirming potential vulnerabilities, monitoring systems for potential incidents and being an active member in the Incident Response team.
Key attributes
- Either:
- experience working in a security and/or compliance team or
- you’re passionate about security, have come from an infrastructure background and you’ve gained security certifications but you haven’t had the opportunity to put them into practise yet
- Experience (or certification) of using SIEM tools for analysis and identification of anomalies
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry within an Agile environment
- Working with Managed Infrastructure providers (ticketing systems and project activity coordination)
- Knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies
- Technical ability to be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and different teams such as customer operations teams and development teams
- Be able to keep pace with emerging technologies and a genuine desire to upskill on new technologies and the latest industry thinking
- Experience with Vulnerability scanners
- Endpoint Security
- Windows Server Configuration and hardening such as: Microsoft Windows Server 2021 R2016
- Active Directory
- IDS/IPS
