The Business:
Our client is a technology arm of a medium-sized retail business across New Zealand and Australia. They pioneer in creating and scaling digital businesses which disrupt the retailing markets.
The Role:
- The role for a UX/UI Designer with previous frontend development background to ensure user centric design elements and the best practice user experience is incorporated into all customer facing product sets.
- You will be responsible for adopting and establishing web practices and technologies to develop fresh approaches and new standards for use as technology stacks evolve.
- When necessary work collaboratively with teams to map customer journeys, design workflows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes.
- Conduct user experience tests to observe behaviour, leading to even better user experience through ongoing iterative improvement.
- Develop code and maintain awesome customer facing prototypes of progressive web applications (PWA), responsive websites, email templates and campaigns
- Be the user experience champion and own the prototyping platform
You have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in UX/UI design and previous experience in front-end development
- Advanced understanding of visual design systems and their digital creation
- Attention to detail to ensure the user and functional digital experience is awesome
- Talent as a designer, an understanding of the need to balance function and visual appearance to achieve successful communication and user experience
- Proficient in web design and coding using the latest versions of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Proficient in source-code editors, and version control systems
- A self-starter who can perform complex tasks with minimal supervision
