The opportunity:

The opportunity for an effective, contemporary hardware (critical) and software engineering leader to bring new leadership to a business that has already brought to market a product portfolio currently worth $50M in revenue. Strong technical thinking is required to bolster the NPD, delivery processes and look for opportunities to marry market demands with tech advancements. This role will be able to understand the technology whilst building an effective team, catering to the changing needs for the product suite. Working with the founders, engineering and design, you'll have the chance to grow your career like no other time and be part of one of New Zealand's established technology stars.

Hardware & Software Engineering Leadership:

The journey of growth and change this business has been on has been radical. And it's not slowing down. A leadership role has emerged to lead and manage the hardware and software engineering teams within the business.

The role breaks down into four core components:
  • Technology roadmap: vision and leadership; commercial to technical; build and run
  • People leadership: growth and management of your new team
  • Delivery leadership: predictable milestones and financial acumen
  • Engineering leadership: Go to woah, internal teams/stakeholders and partners, manufacturing and suppliers

You’ll be confident building and executing against a roadmap and vision, contributing to strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer you'll marry hardware, software, delivery and commercial leadership in the fast-paced world of contemporary product development.
