Launched in 2022, our contractor wellbeing offering was a game changer for the recruitment industry,
an NZ-first initiative that raised the standard
for contractor care.
The concept of hauora (physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing) has been embedded within our culture for years, something our team knows and loves.
While in the past, contractors haven't always received this level of care from recruiters in New Zealand, we thought it was time they got more…after all, contractors are a part of our extended whānau, so why shouldn’t they benefit from the same things our people do?
But it’s not just about the perks. The meaning behind Te Aka Painga goes far beyond its monetary value. Every aspect of the initiative has been developed with a contractor’s wellbeing at front of mind.

$200 Health Contribution
GP appointments. Dental work. Physio. The list goes on. The costs for everyday healthcare adds up and we want to play a small part in removing the barriers for treatment. This means you’ll receive an annual $200 health contribution (on a pre-loaded Mastercard) that can be tapped into at any time throughout the duration of your contract – 100% covered by Potentia.
Wellbeing discovery sessions
Completely self-managed with direct access to an independent wellbeing coach, our drop in wellbeing discovery sessions are all about helping contractors to be their best self – without sacrificing their mental health. Simply book in a 30-minute slot with our in-house wellbeing expert, Gayle Johnston, as and when you need support (these sessions are held over the phone).
