The role:

• Provide technical leadership in developing and maintaining sustainable data pipelines and assets
• Design and implement solutions using Azure Data toolkit and Databricks ecosystem
• Analyse data sources and model data following architecture principles
• Work collaboratively with Analytics, Data Engineering and Data Governance teams
• Lead migration to big data platforms and manage core system data changes
• Develop and document new engineering design patterns
• Coach and guide more junior data engineers on engineering best practices
• Contribute to agile ceremonies and technical planning
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements

Your fit:

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure Data toolkit and Databricks ecosystem
• Strong background in data modelling and data integration functions
• Five or more years of hands-on experience with enterprise RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience lifting engineering maturity through best practices and CI/CD approaches
• Azure or Databricks qualifications preferred
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts
• Technical leadership experience in agile environments
• Experience in data governance and process management
