The role

• Design, implement and maintain data strategies and solutions, including architecture and infrastructure
• Analyse business requirements to inform technical solutions for various departments
• Ensure all designs meet quality standards, with clear understanding of costs and risks
• Validate proposed solutions against organisational standards and best practices
• Oversee development and implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural standards
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions
• Create prototypes or demonstrations of concepts and designs
• Drive continuous improvement in DevOps practices, data security, and governance
• Contribute to organisational strategy and delivery roadmaps
• Collaborate with engineers, business analysts and testers in an agile environment

Your fit

• Minimum 10 years' experience in IT with 5+ years in solution architecture roles
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure and data platforms
• Experience with data migration, integration tools, ETL processes and data modelling
• Proficient in SQL and familiar with database management systems
• Skilled in designing and implementing enterprise-level data solutions
• Knowledge of API service design patterns and system integration
• Understanding of data governance frameworks, security, and compliance regulations
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to self-manage work across multiple projects simultaneously
