Senior Project Manager
About the role
We're looking for a skilled leader to help drive meaningful change across a dynamic public sector environment. In this fixed-term opportunity, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering business transformation projects that are high-profile, fast-paced, and complex. You'll work with passionate and committed teams to lead initiatives that have real impact.
What you'll bring:
- Proven success leading end-to-end delivery of multiple large-scale projects—on time, within scope and budget.
- Extensive experience in business transformation and change management, ideally within a public sector setting.
- Strong capability in managing risks, issues, budgets, and project resources in a matrix environment.
- Confidence in leading and mentoring teams through all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate and build trust across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of benefits realisation, investment objectives, and adaptive delivery methodologies.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving organisational needs.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and complex stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
- Working knowledge of government policy, legislative processes, and public service frameworks is a bonus.
