The Role:
- Design and develop full-stack applications with emphasis on performance and user experience
- Take ownership of release cycles, cloud infrastructure, and platform stability
- Collaborate with Design, UX, QA, and Product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Build internal tools that streamline deployment, diagnostics, and development workflows
- Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
- Lead incident response and proactively identify system vulnerabilities
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering culture
- Ensure deliverables meet quality, security, and compliance standards
- 5+ years of professional web application development experience
- Ideally you have deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Docker. If you've been working in a slightly different stack/environments and can switch up quickly, then we are still keen to talk.
- Strong understanding of API design, cloud software, and SaaS architecture
- Experience delivering complex features end-to-end with a pragmatic approach
- Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
- IoT systems and real-time data workflows experience would be valuable
Being based in Auckland would be a preference, but we can also consider remote options.
