Contract details

• Term: 6 months (potential extension) 
• Hourly Rate: $120-125/hr +GST
• Location: Remote (NZ-based) 
• Start: ASAP

Deliverables / Purpose

You’ll help shape and evolve a Modern Data Platform on Azure, designing and delivering scalable, reliable data solutions. This is a senior role where you’ll balance building with guiding - setting good engineering practices, uplifting delivery standards, and mentoring engineers in the team. 

The skills and experience we need you to bring

• Proven experience of 5+ years in a senior BI or data engineering role
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure 
• Advanced data modelling skills (relational, dimensional, analytical) 
• Coding capability across Python, SQL, and Spark 
• Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD
• Databricks experience desirable but not essential
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
• Passion for coaching and mentoring
• Great engagement skills - able to explain technical concepts clearly and practically
