GROUP TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS MANAGER

Senior technology leaders will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology at PGW. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Group Technology Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across PGG Wrightson’s technology operations, ensuring resilient, secure and reliable services that enable the business today and support future growth.
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will lead our technology operations function, with accountability for infrastructure, service delivery and operational resilience. You will ensure core technology services perform reliably, are cost-effective, and align with both current business needs and our long-term technology strategy.
You will lead teams responsible for infrastructure, cloud platforms and service delivery, and partner closely with senior leaders across Group Technology and the wider business.
Key responsibilities include:

• Lead technology operations, infrastructure and service delivery across PGG Wrightson
• Ensure reliable, secure and scalable technology services for all parts of the business
• Own infrastructure strategy, architecture and operational roadmaps
• Drive operational performance, availability, service quality and continuous improvement
• Lead major incident management, continuity and disaster recovery planning and execution
• Embed robust operational governance, risk management and compliance practices
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing technology operations team and culture
• Manage operational budgets, vendors and service performance to agreed outcomes

ABOUT YOU
You are a senior technology operations leader with deep infrastructure and service delivery experience. You balance operational rigour with strategic thinking, and you’re comfortable engaging and influencing at executive level.
You will bring:

• Proven leadership experience across IT operations and infrastructure
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, networks, service delivery and operational governance
• Experience managing complex, business critical and distributed technology environments
• Demonstrated ability to align operational performance and investment with business strategy
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and people leadership skills

Experience in large, distributed or operationally intensive organisations — particularly within rural, logistics, utilities, retail or similar environments will be highly regarded.
