As part of this, MyTransport is continuing to evolve its internal technology capability across data, AI, and visualisation to support future growth and strengthen its platform offering.

The Opportunity:

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys building capability, not just delivering projects. You’ll take ownership of the internal technology function, leading an in-house team while partnering closely with an external development provider. The focus is on setting clear technical direction, lifting engineering maturity, and making sure delivery is scalable, secure, and aligned to what the business needs next.

The Role:

You will lead the internal engineering function, balancing people leadership with delivery outcomes. This includes working closely with vendors while building stronger in-house capability over time.

You’ll set technical direction, support architectural decisions, and ensure the team is delivering effectively against business needs. This role is less about hands-on coding and more about leadership, alignment, and enabling others to succeed.

About You:

• Proven experience leading software engineering or technical teams
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to work with non-technical audiences
• Experience balancing people leadership with delivery accountability
• Solid understanding of software architecture and modern delivery practices
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
• Bonus: experience scaling teams, vendor transition, or exposure to data/AI
