Contract details

• Initial term: 2-3 months 
• Location: fully remote 
• Start: May 
• Reporting into: IT Manager 
• Team: small - you’ll need to be comfortable operating independently

Deliverables / purpose

You’ll come in early to stabilise and uplift the network environment through a focused remediation engagement. That includes:

• Running discovery across the firewall and core network setup 
• Documenting the current state clearly (so it’s usable after you’ve gone) 
• Identifying risks, gaps, and required changes 
• Implementing agreed remediation and validating outcomes   

The skills and experience we need you to bring

• Strong hands-on FortiGate firewall experience (must-have) 
• Strong Aruba switching experience (must-have) 
• Proven ability to work autonomously and make progress without heavy oversight 
• Solid discovery and documentation skills (you leave things better than you found them) 
• Clear communication - able to explain issues, options, and decisions simply
