The Opportunity:
They are a growing, listed tech vendor seeking an Android Developer who collaborates with team members to develop and deliver on service requirements for the contracts agreed with Platform services. This role works both strategically and technically to ensure high-quality digital product design and implementation, aligning with business requirements while optimising the experience delivered to our end users.
Their initiatives are wide-ranging, including product development, integration, system/platform/network enhancement, and cyber and vendor engagement and control. With revenue quintupled in the last 24 months, their technology is rapidly being adopted throughout Australasia, with global aspirations on the horizon.

The Fit:
Mandatory Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience with Android development within a mobile or desktop app environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
  • Demonstrated understanding good software architectural concepts such as Clean and Domain-driven design (DDD).

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Experience in the card payments industry with knowledge of card payments
  • Knowledge of EMV (Europay, MasterCard® and Visa®) concepts
  • Experience with Kotlin, IOS, flutter, and knowledge of these forms, concepts, or coding for these platforms
  • Solid knowledge of and experience with applying good software design principles
  • Familiar with agile ways of working & tools (confluence, jira)
  • Ability to produce well-written documentation and communicate well within the team.
  • Fast learner, proactive, adaptable, quality oriented, ability to pick up on technical jargon and business processes
  • Can work well in a high-energy team environment.
