Company profile:

Emerging global leader of financial services software connecting large businesses with an effective fund, wealth and portfolio management suite through automated fulfillment and rich digital assets. Offering a range of channels to get the right transactions to happen at light-speed, fulfilling compliance for the right customers at the right time, these folk are grabbing clients at a break-neck pace. What they want to build is not on offer right now anywhere in the investment, financial services and wealth management domain. Built in tandem with their current suite, this technology will push many in this industry into the digital world delivering better outcomes to their end customers.

Why now?

Global expansion is underway for this business. Growth is focused on new customers, an increase in headcount and the new product capability. New opportunities for the business exist everywhere, but their current client base is keen to experiment with and begin trialing new innovations now. A recent change of CEO, internal rebrand and values alignment and a motivated board and advisory team have created fertile ground to support a new Chief Product Officer in the role and a new product mindset

Presently, there is a gap for a new CPO to take control of the product strategy and delivery for the product portfolio. The new CPOt will need to build upon current success whilst also expanding the offering, catering to new products and harnessing market intelligence to ensure the right product is delivered to meet demands.

Your part:

Leadership
: You will lead the Product and Engineering division responsible for building and expanding the products. This will entail people, product, commercial and delivery leadership alongside a heavy level of collaboration with the other parts of the business. These will include Customer Success, Implementation, Operations and C-level among others.

People: Bring the big game as the people element of this is a pleasure not a curse. 30 people will sit in the Product and Engineering team and they are stars, but a good helping of EQ and empowerment will align with the people leadership here.

Product: Responsible for the product strategy and roadmap, the creation and development of this category will be data-driven and cohesive/collaborative. Given the scale, calling on a wide range of sources and resources will guide great outcomes and find the signal in the noise. Technical PM work will be driven through your team. YOu'll be able to 'Build the right thing' and lead how to 'Build the thing right'.

Commercial: Working with the executive team, you’ll align expectations of penetration, usage, tie-ins, usability, sales and uptake targets with product deliverables and partnership opportunities.

Delivery: Collaborate. Work horizontally with Design, Marketing, Implementation and Customer et al leadership as well as the executive to ensure delivery is to standard and on-point with product expectations.

The fit:

A high EQ people leader that wants to make their mark on the global stage for a Product Development Fintech vendor, or perhaps make it again. You’ll enjoy the opportunity to harness data and trend information in building market-fit with a wide and varied audience that already love the current product suite. Probably occupying a similar role, you’ll have built, launched or re-directed a large-scale software product or suite. Contemporary practices of product management are in place as well as high-performing teams, so experience with these here is critical.

This role is a platform for great achievement in the Product world, the business, team and opportunity are ready to go. All it needs is you.
