Intermediate Project Manager

The organisation

A Wellington based central government agency responsible for managing the future of learning in New Zealand. They help with administering education assessment systems, independent quality assurance of non-university education providers, qualification recognition.

Role background

The organisation is working on a future state of work program and going through transformational change as we speak. They want all students to be successful and reach their full potential and they are aiming to use digital technology to help achieve those aims.

Your role

You will be working in close partnership with the programme manager assisting in delivering transformational change in a complex environment. You will be assisting with delivery of a world class digital assessment solution and working to meet the needs of those learning around the country.

Skills/Attributes you will bring

  • Ability to work pragmatically with an outcome focus

  • Natural strengths managing project scope, time, cost, change, risk and issue management

  • A strong ownership in getting to a successful outcome

  • Previous proven experience liaising with IT vendors

  • An ability to talk to your exposure and knowledge of working to deliver IT and business change projects

  • Proven experience working on web based on digital projects previously
