A NZ owned, Managed IT Service Provider has built a stable and loyal client base throughout Auckland by providing exceptional service from a knowledgeable and talented tech team.  They pride themselves on keeping their client’s IT systems working smoothly and are always looking at how technology can enhance and grow their businesses.

The role
Due to their great reputation, the company has grown, and they are now looking for an intermediate level L2 support person to join the team.  There are no ivory towers here - everybody is hands-on, answering calls, solving problems and doing what is required to ensure their clients are happy.

They are looking for a confident, tech-savvy, customer-focused superstar who is able to hit the ground running. You will need to be a great communicator who is able to talk to all types of customers with ease, enabling them to understand the steps you are taking to help them, as well as ensuring SLAs are adhered to.

Required skills:
  • A strong understanding/experience of Microsoft 365, Exchange and SharePoint
  • At least 3 years of remote support experience
  • A deep desire to deliver an amazing Client Experience
  • Knowledge of IT Applications, Software & Hardware
  • The ability to speak both Geek and human
  • A love of (and ability to) Solve Problems & Challenges
  • Great Communications skills, founded in being a good listener
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems and network systems
  • Must be able to type quickly and accurately while talking on the phone
Nice to Have:
  • Experience using a Ticketing system / RMM Tool and PSA software
  • Experience providing support via remote tools
  • Experience dealing with networking equipment – Firewalls, Switches, Access Points etc
  • Experience with Microsoft servers in live environments
  • Professional IT Certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA or MCSE, ITIL, ITSM, etc.
  • Client Experience Certifications such as Helpdesk Habits etc.Experience working either on a Helpdesk or for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) / IT Support Business.
