The role:
The Test Analyst will have an understanding of software testing processes and practices and help build out the testing capability at Tally Group. They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have an appreciation of Agile testing practices and the software development lifecycle.

Confer with team members on the most appropriate approach for testing different functionalities
Openly share progress, hold ups experienced or expected, new learnings that are useful for the team
Demonstrates strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and management
Interacting with team members and others as necessary to clarify needs/requirements and acceptance criteria.
Support the Agile Team Lead/BA explaining acceptance criteria to the team
Estimate size of backlog items
Translation of backlog items into logical units of work (tasks)
Accurate translation of backlog items into well designed tests
Design and create “story level” tests aligned to the acceptance criteria to cover functional and non-functional needs.
Carry out test design walk-throughs to validate the test approach and ensure team members understand the conditions code must reach to be accepted
Executes the tests and maintains the agreed level of documentation for metrics, issues, test reports and ensures test and functional traceability is maintained
Contribution to and active use of Agility testing best practices techniques and tools.
Proactively working with software developer colleagues to test as early as possible including working to the team “definition of done”) and documentation
Able to demonstrate working functionality at Sprint Reviews
Minimal escaped defects (bugs are caught at team level not escaped to production environments)
