About the role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to take a leadership role that blends deep technical delivery with real influence. You’ll be the go-to advisor for clients, shaping IT strategy, steering infrastructure projects end-to-end, and setting technical standards. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and making a visible impact in smaller, fast-moving environments.
What you’ll be doing

• Leading technical strategy and roadmaps with clients, becoming a trusted advisor at a senior level
• Driving infrastructure projects from scoping and design through to delivery and adoption
• Acting as the highest point of technical escalation, solving complex issues others can’t
• Setting and enforcing standards across client environments, ensuring best practice
• Mentoring and guiding engineers, lifting capability across the team
• Contributing to service improvement and identifying opportunities for innovation
• Participating in after-hours support on rotation as required

What we’re looking for

• Extensive experience delivering solutions in small to medium business environments (consultancy/MSP experience highly valued)
• Broad technical expertise across Microsoft technologies (O365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD)
• Strong skills in virtualisation, networking, backup and endpoint management (Intune, Autopilot)
• Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills at both technical and business levels
• Someone proactive, self-driven, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy
• Professional certifications (MCSA, MCSE or equivalent) are an advantage
