The Opportunity:
This is a pivotal leadership role for an experienced Enterprise Architect who enjoys turning strategy into practical roadmaps and clear standards. You’ll set the direction for enterprise architecture across a large, complex environment, bringing coherence to platforms, integration, and data decisions, and helping teams deliver change.
You’ll also lead and mentor Solution and Infrastructure Architects, lifting the maturity of the architecture practice and improving how architecture supports delivery. If you enjoy balancing enterprise-wide priorities with practical delivery needs, like helping teams move forward with clear standards, patterns, and guardrails, this role will suit.

The Role:
- Define, maintain, and communicate the enterprise architecture framework and principles
- Set architecture standards across applications, integration, cloud, and data domains
- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps to guide prioritisation and investment
- Provide architecture governance and oversight across programmes and projects
- Translate organisational strategy into actionable architecture designs and guardrails
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to a small team of architects
- Mature the practice and ways of working
- Partner with senior stakeholders to shape strategy, planning, and decision-making
Your Fit:
- Solutions or enterprise architecture experience in a large organisation
- Demonstrated EA framework and governance experience (TOGAF or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns and cloud (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS; hybrid/multi-cloud)
- Confident communicator who can simplify complex topics for diverse audiences
- Proven people leadership/mentoring capability
- Relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience); certs like TOGAF/ITIL beneficial
- Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural awareness (or willingness to build this)
