About the role

We are partnering with a large and highly respected public sector organisation embarking on a significant technology modernisation programme that will transform the way critical operational services are delivered across New Zealand.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a complex, business-critical application modernisation initiative. The programme will replace a long-standing legacy platform with a modern, cloud-enabled solution, while ensuring continuity of service for thousands of end users throughout the transition.

Working within a mature project delivery environment, you will be responsible for leading project planning, governance, procurement activities, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery execution from inception through to implementation.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for an experienced technology Project Manager who has successfully delivered large-scale software and digital transformation initiatives within complex organisations.

You'll ideally bring experience across:

• Software development and application modernisation projects
• DevOps and Agile delivery environments
• Integration-heavy programmes
• Cloud and API-driven solutions
• Vendor and supplier management
• Business case development and project planning
• Government procurement processes and commercial engagements
• Executive and operational stakeholder management

Experience within the New Zealand public sector is highly desirable.
