About the role

The opportunity
This is a hands-on Application Analyst role with real ownership across Microsoft 365, with a strong focus on SharePoint Online and Teams. You’ll help keep core applications stable, supported and fit for purpose, while also improving how people use collaboration tools day to day.

It’s a good fit if you enjoy both sides of application support: resolving complex issues properly, and spotting better ways for teams to work. You’ll work closely with the Service Desk, business users, vendors and IT leadership to improve reliability, usability and business value across the application environment. This role can either be Christchurch or Dunedin based.

Company profile
You’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative technology team inside an established New Zealand organisation. The environment is practical, team-focused and service-driven, with a clear focus on making technology work well for the people who rely on it.

The role
You’ll take ownership across:
* Level 3 application support for Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Teams
* Managing incidents, service requests and escalations within agreed SLAs
* Troubleshooting complex application issues through to full resolution
* Supporting patching, upgrades, releases and application lifecycle activity
* Working with change and release processes, including documentation and approvals
* Reviewing incident trends, identifying root causes and preventing repeat issues
* Managing SharePoint sites, libraries, permissions, governance and content structures
* Supporting Teams collaboration spaces and related automation, including Power Automate
* Working with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and deliver improvements
* Creating clear technical and end-user documentation, FAQs and how-to guides

Your fit
You’ll likely bring:
* Strong hands-on SharePoint Online administration and support experience
* Solid Microsoft 365 experience, especially Teams and collaboration tools
* A background in application support, ideally at Level 3
* Experience with incident, problem, change and release management
* Confidence working with third-party vendors and service providers
* Strong documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
* Clear communication and a collaborative, approachable style
* A practical mindset, with the follow-through to get things done properly

Experience with Power Automate, Power Platform or similar collaboration tools would be useful, but not essential.

If you’re a SharePoint specialist who enjoys solving problems and making work easier for users, apply now.
