The Role
This is a chance to lead the technical delivery of software that has real scale and complexity. A key focus will be modernising a large enterprise system, including migration to GitHub, Azure, Blazor and .NET 10.

You’ll join a growing digital product development team working across cloud-based applications, systems integration and platform modernisation. The role needs someone who can guide technical direction, make pragmatic decisions, mentor others and still stay close to the code.

It’s suited to a Technical Lead who enjoys variety, can handle ambiguity, and wants to influence how modern software is delivered in a complex environment.

You’ll be joining a large, employee-owned advisory, design and engineering consultancy with a growing digital practice. The wider team includes digital consultants, GIS specialists, data analysts and software engineers working across cloud, on-premises and platform-based solutions for clients in New Zealand and overseas.

The role

• Lead software design and delivery across cloud-based digital products and services 
• Drive modernisation of a major enterprise system across Azure, GitHub, Blazor and .NET 10 
• Provide technical direction from planning and estimation through to support 
• Contribute hands-on to development while guiding engineering standards 
• Mentor software engineers through reviews, pairing and technical coaching 
• Collaborate with product, delivery and stakeholder groups to solve complex problems 
• Support technical roadmap planning and improve delivery practices 

Your fit
You may already be a Technical Lead, or a Senior Developer ready for more technical ownership. You’ll bring:

• Strong full stack development experience with cloud-based software products 
• Solid C#, .NET and Azure experience, ideally with modern .NET versions 
• Exposure to Blazor, or strong front-end experience and willingness to work with it 
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD and modern engineering practices 
• Web development, API integration and distributed systems experience SQL, TypeScript and JavaScript capability 
• Good judgement around software security, quality and maintainability 
• A collaborative style with engineers, stakeholders and non-technical teams 
• Beneficial experience includes Agile delivery, Docker, Kubernetes, Power Platform, microservices, React, Python, C++, Go or F#.
