The opportunity
This is a broad ICT Support Technician role for someone who enjoys being close to the business and solving real problems for real people. You’ll help keep systems, devices and users running smoothly across a busy, multi-site organisation.
The role covers day-to-day helpdesk support, device builds and repairs, user administration, documentation, reporting and continuous improvement. It suits someone who can move comfortably between hands-on technical work and clear communication with non-technical users.
You’ll be part of an environment where no two days are quite the same, and where good judgement, follow-through and knowing when to escalate are just as important as technical ability.

The role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing onsite and remote helpdesk support across a range of users and locations
- Managing support tickets, identifying trends and escalating critical issues when needed
- Building, rebuilding, repairing and configuring computers, laptops, phones and peripherals
- Installing hardware and software, and supporting network integration
- Managing user onboarding, offboarding, accounts and access
- Supporting systems such as Active Directory, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, antivirus tools, CRMs and business applications
- Creating ICT procedures, templates, reports and support documentation
- Working with internal teams, wider group stakeholders, vendors and students
- Suggesting improvements that make systems and support processes more effective
Your fit
You’ll likely bring:
- An IT or Computer Science qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience in ICT support, service desk, desktop support or a similar technical support role
- Confidence troubleshooting hardware, software, user access and business systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, SharePoint and Exchange
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with users
- A practical, calm approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- A full, clean driver’s licence
- A team-first mindset, with the judgement to know when to resolve, escalate or ask for help
