About the role

Infrastructure Team Lead

We’re looking for an experienced infrastructure professional who can combine strong technical capability with day-to-day leadership of a small engineering team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for technical direction, workload coordination, mentoring, and improving how the team delivers services to its clients.

This role is Christchurch-based

What you’ll be doing

• Provide technical direction and support across a small infrastructure team
• Coordinate workloads and priorities, helping keep work moving
• Act as a senior escalation point for more complex technical issues
• Mentor and support the development of engineers
• Look for opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and ways of working
• Work closely with other technical teams and clients to deliver strong outcomes

What we’re looking for

• Strong background in infrastructure, cloud or systems engineering
• Previous experience leading and mentoring a team
• Experience working in a fast-paced MSP or managed services environment
• Technically confident, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Able to prioritise, make decisions and push back when needed
• A driven, pragmatic approach with a focus on getting things done
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
