Delivery Lead
About the role
Delivery Lead
Auckland | 6 months | $140–$150 per hour
We’re looking for experienced Delivery Lead to take ownership of the successful delivery of significant technology, product and change initiatives within a large enterprise environment - Please note: This is not a Scrum Master role.
While you’ll work within agile delivery environments and support effective ways of working, the focus is firmly on end-to-end delivery leadership – driving execution, coordinating multiple streams of work, managing risks and dependencies, navigating competing priorities, and ensuring initiatives deliver the intended business and customer outcomes.
You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, technology teams, business stakeholders and delivery partners to:
- Lead the planning and delivery of technology, product and change initiatives across one or more teams
- Own delivery plans, milestones, commitments and outcomes
- Coordinate multiple workstreams, teams and stakeholder groups
- Identify and actively manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
- Navigate competing priorities and remove barriers impacting delivery
- Establish effective delivery governance, reporting and progress tracking
- Provide stakeholders with clear visibility of delivery health, milestones and challenges
- Support roadmap planning, prioritisation and value-based delivery decisions
- Coordinate release activities and cross-team dependencies
- Monitor team capacity, resource requirements and delivery performance
- Facilitate key planning sessions, workshops, reviews and delivery forums
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery practices and team effectiveness
- Help teams respond effectively to changing business priorities and customer needs
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience owning end-to-end delivery, rather than primarily facilitating agile ceremonies
- Demonstrated delivery across complex technology, digital, product or business change initiatives
- Experience coordinating multiple teams and interconnected workstreams
- Strong risk, issue, dependency and milestone management capability
- Experience working across Product, Technology and Business functions
- Strong stakeholder management, including senior and executive-level stakeholders
- Experience establishing and operating delivery governance and reporting
- Ability to balance delivery pace, business priorities, technical constraints and organisational dependencies
- Strong understanding of agile delivery practices without being limited to a Scrum Master remit
- A pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach and the confidence to drive delivery in complex environments
If your background is in leading delivery, managing complexity and getting significant initiatives across the line, we’d love to hear from you.
