About the role

.NET Developer | Systems Design & Modern .NET

We’re looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join a team where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the design, development and ongoing improvement of business-critical applications.
This is a hands-on development role, but we’re looking for someone who can think beyond individual features and understand how the wider system fits together. You’ll be involved in designing applications, APIs, integrations and data solutions, making technical decisions and helping shape solutions that are secure, scalable and maintainable.


What you’ll be doing:

• Design and develop applications using C# and .NET
• Design and build REST APIs and integrations with other systems
• Contribute to application and systems architecture decisions
• Work across backend services, databases and integrations to understand how the wider solution fits together
• Design and develop SQL Server databases, data models and data access solutions
• Consider scalability, performance, security and reliability when designing solutions
• Contribute to technical discussions and help determine the right approach to solving complex problems
• Work closely with other developers, technical stakeholders and the wider delivery team
• Improve existing systems, identify opportunities for technical improvement and help shape future solutions
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience developing with C# and .NET
• Solid experience building REST APIs and integrations
• Strong SQL Server and database development experience
• Good understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Experience thinking about systems at a broader level, including how applications, APIs, databases and services work together
• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally Azure
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions
• Someone who enjoys getting into the detail while still understanding the bigger picture
