The Company:
My client is a custodian within the building and construction industry, ensuring that people have the qualifications and skills required to meet NZ's building standards. They have recently been going through a large scale digital transformation, moving away from a traditionalist paper based learning system. Through the adoption of Cloud and new LMS / CRM (Salesforce) systems, they are enabling learners to spend more time uplifting capability and less time on reporting. They have a fantastic close knit culture, and are lean enough to deliver valuable outcomes at pace, without the bureaucracy of a larger environment.
The opportunity:
With the ambitious goal of developing the enterprise reporting tool and maintaining a high standard of data quality and consistency, there is a need for a BI Analyst to come on board to assist the Data & Infrastructure Team.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining the Data Warehouse using industry best practice
Developing Power BI and SSRS reports and documenting the usage and design of Power BI
Translating business data and insight requirements into reports
Supporting SQL Database administration.
Supporting requests and issues for Power BI and Snowflake.
Your background:
At least 3 years of experience in development of BI solutions using Microsoft BI tools.
Have a good understanding of how to manipulate, monitor and manage large data sets for the purpose of generating reports using Power BI and SSRS.
Strong experience in SQL and DAX programming and ETL process.
Good understanding of data quality and management.
Azure and/or Snowflake exposure would be an advantage.
Great communication skills
