About the company and role:
This is an organisation that touch and assist the life of many New Zealanders. They are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to continue their delivery and one of the biggest data migration project in New Zealand. You will need to be an experienced Data Engineer who loves data, can work independently and within a team and be a great communicator. You will be working with many stakeholders from different background to ensure you a re delivering outcome that is suited for the brief.
What you will need to bring:
- Azure Databricks (experience creating Notebooks with Python and PySpark, knowledge of Workflows)
- Data Warehousing (ideally legacy and cloud)
- SQL Server Skills (anything from SQL 2014 upwards is fine)
- Azure Data Factory (pipeline creation, ETL)
- General data modelling knowledge (especially Dimensional)
- Cloud security knowledge
- Experience reading/writing to Data Lake Blob Storage from Databricks and Azure Data Factory
