The organisation

Our client is an International software company who delivers digital solutions to customers across 27 countries world-wide. They service a range of industries including healthcare, security, intelligence, and the education sectors. In New Zealand, they have partnered with a Government organisation to provide a structured and scalable product that assists with critical decision making when there is no room for error. Their solution is an all-encompassing radio, mobile, vehicle, web and application-based product with all this data reporting back to command HQ in real time.

The opportunity:

From a military background, you understand the importance to have the right information in real-time to make the right decision. Tactical decision-making is at the heart of executing a strategy. This will be achieved through an integrated, ultra-modern command and control toolset.  To achieve this you will be an interface with the client's key stakeholders to coordinate the push and pull of information to the right individuals. Your background in defence force and C4I systems give you the basis to execute this on the plan, though are not essential.

Your role

This role calls for someone who has a sound military background and is passionate about war-zone tactics. You will build and develop educational material, whilst working directly with end users to deliver knowledge training of a niche software product. You will become the "SME' and be known as the go-to person when it comes to any product related questions. Being an advocate for Agile ways of working will enable you to bridge any gaps between customer expectations and new product features.

Key deliverables:

  • Work directly with military units to understand operational objectives, scenarios, mission requirements and challenges to maximize the capabilities of the product suite.

  • Utilize military experience and knowledge to develop Tactics, Techniques & Procedures (TTP), mentor Soldiers in the practical application and system employment of the SitaWare suite

  • Take a consultative approach in providing military exercise support in both conceptual and functional areas

  • Collaborate with other SMEs and leaders to understand and overcome product capability gaps and develop documentation and materials for demonstration purposes

  • Work closely with the product team and advocate for new features or enhancements

Key requirements from you:

  • Background in Defence/Military

  • Understand the real-world applications and assist in the development of demonstrations to best prepare war fighters for field deployment. ยท Provide SitaWare demonstration and capability support to Business Development and Training staff as needed

  • Experience working in a Tactical Operations Center and thorough understanding of the Warfighting Functions

  • Highly efficient communication skills both verbal and written as well as possess excellent presentation skills

  • Knowledge of military systems and integration with Joint Forces

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
