Company profile:

Built by a couple of hungry, clever Kiwis, this business thrived on solving a tricky and complex problem. Automotive part manufacturers, car companies and those that sell their parts have always had difficulty communicating and working to a common language of classification and fitment (Yip, it's a word). These fellows have cracked it and are not integrating with the largest marketplaces globally and providing a dedicated service to one of the largest household name car manufacturers in the world. Strength to strength they have a rocketship ride ahead of them.

The opportunity:

Recently given a big chunk of funding to fulfill their dream and with their new MNC car customer hankering for new product, now is the time to grow. So far, they have managed to craft a team of top engineers who have left roles at RocketLab and Xero (with the blessings of their employers) to grow this new star. Adopting contemporary tech and building scalable software to integrate and ingest large screes of data, now's the time to do some interesting and challenging work.

Role snapshot:

As part of the microservices and intergation journey, you'll use a contemporary toolset with JavaScript components built in TypeScript, node.js as well as Angular and mySQL to build new software. A big hand in creating experiences for international audiences, their customers in Europe and the States require direct-to-consumer capability from you. You’ll be central to the technology advancing and the performance of these products. As you progress, you could help the team members grow their own capability and thrive by acting as a mentor. Ultimately this role will be the person who wants to part of the product or integration of a scaling product suite.

The fit:
  • Purposeful and passionate about developing effective code and world-class solutions
  • Full stack developer with JavaScript experience preferably TypeScript, node, Angular or React is also transferable
  • Like API and microservices
  • GWT (Google), AWS or Azure environment experience
  • A knowledge of SOLID principles and/or an ability to apply and show patterns and architectural practices

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person. If you are looking to join a top class organisation with great development opportunities, send through your CV as soon as you can!
