Test Engineer
This opportunity is based in Hamilton/Cambridge

The role:
Possess a deep understanding of Linux systems and software development
An understanding of systems and failure mode analysis, failure testing including robustness, functionality, and security
Understands concepts such as networking, device drivers, HBAs, JBODs, HDDs, and Linux operating system functionality
Understand how to analyse/reverse engineer an application in order to break the product, gain access to/corrupt the data/operation
Understand and as required produce tests in C/C++ development, python
The fit:
5+ years relevant experience in exploratory/red mode/tiger team style testing
Shell scripting or automation of tasks using Bash or Python
Linux operating system expert
Developing, extending, or modifying test tools
Understanding the development of applications in C/C++/Go, or Javascript
Product/System level Failure Mode analysis skills (e.g. FMEA/FMECA)
For the security aspects of the role OSCE or OSCP desired
Knowledge of storage and secure storage concepts is a bonus!
Please note that this opportunity is open to overseas candidates, however you will need to either be in the process of applying for a visa or have an understanding what is required to be eligible for a work visa in New Zealand. Working remotely is required until visa approval.
