About the role

Potentia is delighted to partner with Enable Networks, Christchurch’s fibre broadband provider, in the search for a Business Insights Partner. This role sits at the intersection of business performance, data, and decision-making, helping leaders better understand what drives results and enabling them to make informed, outcome-focused decisions.

Enable connects more than 230,000 homes, businesses, and schools across greater Christchurch through its world-class fibre network. As the organisation continues to evolve its performance and planning capability, this role will play a key part in embedding a strong performance culture and ensuring data is used to drive meaningful business outcomes.

This is a permanent role based in Christchurch.

The Role
As the Business Insights Partner, you'll work closely with leaders across the organisation to understand their goals, identify the metrics that matter, and deliver insights that improve performance. Acting as the link between business stakeholders and Enable’s Data & Insights team, you'll help shape reporting solutions that support better decision-making and deliver measurable impact.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partnering with business leaders to define key performance indicators, leading measures, and success metrics.
• Delivering insights that identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Embedding a strong "know your numbers" culture through regular performance conversations.
• Translating business questions and priorities into clear reporting and data requirements.
• Collaborating with BI Developers to design dashboards and reporting solutions that support operational decision-making.
• Improving data quality, governance, and performance visibility across the business.
• Building data literacy and helping leaders confidently use data to guide decisions.
• Challenging assumptions, highlighting trade-offs, and influencing actions that improve business outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in a Business Intelligence, Performance Analysis, Commercial Analysis, Finance Business Partnering, or similar role.
• Proven ability to influence decision-making through data, reporting, and insight.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of a business.
• Experience working with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data environments.
• Strong understanding of KPI design, performance measurement, and outcome-focused reporting.
• The ability to translate complex information into clear, practical business recommendations.
• A proactive, curious, and commercially minded approach to problem solving.
