Role Overview
The Senior Android Developer will be responsible for the planning design, development and implementation of software solutions as per the development road map. You need to be someone who thinks outside of the box and is able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Your will:
  • Get hands-on with the code to develop high-quality software.
  • Work across multiple projects to lead development and embed quality throughout the software development process.
  • Analyse, design, coordinate, and supervise development to specification, and create work breakdowns to make sure the delivery is properly estimated.
  • Maintain legacy code, improve its quality including refactoring the code and performing technology upgrades when necessary
To excel in this role, you:
  • Must have at least 5 years of commercial experience in Android development – Kotlin, REST, Android services.
  • Will preferably have Java (legacy applications) development experience.
  • Have demonstrated proficient understanding of concurrency.
  • Will be competent in working with threads and managing back processes.
  • Have a genuine interest in learning new technologies
