Desktop Support Technician

An education provider that is the lifeblood of Dunedin. They are one of the largest ICT operations in NZ, supporting 27,000 users, an extensive communications network across multiple campuses and a wide range and variety of ICT systems. The IT department are responsible for the provision, maintenance, and support of information and communication technologies and business systems.
Purpose of position
They are centralizing their IT capability and there will be a number of projects rolling out including roll outs of Office 365, workplace management, service management, unification of communications, cyber security and an upgrade of their financial platform
The role
They are wanting someone to assist with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment and software complying with given standards and guidelines. You will work with a variety of computer platforms in a multi-layered environment and help with the different projects as they roll out.
Key requirements from you
Strong skills in the Microsoft Suite (Office365, MS Exchange)
Experience working in a medium or large enterprise environment
Ability to adapt to changing requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively with others
